Oversized and Overmass Transport

We manage oversized and overmass movements across Sydney and regional NSW. Permits, route planning, escort coordination, and the right equipment handled by experienced operators for construction, infrastructure, and industrial projects.

What We Handle

The oversized and overmass loads our fleet is set up to move

01

Structural steel and fabricated metal

Beams, columns, trusses, and fabricated steel assemblies that exceed standard dimensions or weight limits. Restraint and load planning are critical on every movement.

02

Heavy machinery and industrial equipment

Presses, generators, transformers, and large plant equipment. These loads demand accurate weight distribution, correct trailer selection, and experienced operators.

03

Wind farm
components

Tower sections, nacelles, and blade cradles moving to regional NSW project sites. Route surveys and escort coordination are essential on every delivery.

04

Solar farm materials

Structural frames, inverters, and heavy project materials delivered to remote and regional sites with limited access infrastructure.

05

Construction plant and equipment

Excavators, loaders, cranes, and large construction equipment moving between sites, depots, and project locations across Sydney and regional NSW.

06

Oversized containers
and flat racks

Out-of-gauge containers and flat rack cargo that exceeds standard transport envelopes. Permit and route planning managed as part of the job.

OUR APPROACH

Surprises are eliminated before the truck rolls

Approach images

Every OSOM job starts with planning first

We plan OSOM jobs in full before quoting. Load and weight assessed against NHVR requirements. Permits submitted with accurate data. Routes, escorts, and travel windows are checked and confirmed before the job moves.
Approach images

Obstacles are cleared before the truck starts

By the time the truck is loaded, every variable that could stop the job has already been resolved. Our operators handle these movements regularly across Sydney and regional NSW. Wind farms, solar projects, construction sites, industrial installations.
Approach images

Consistency is what makes the difference

The experience behind each job comes from doing this work consistently, not occasionally. When conditions change or approvals take longer than expected, you hear about it early with a revised plan. Never silence.
Process

How oversized freight gets moved without the usual last-minute chaos

01

Assess the load

Dimensions, weight, centre of gravity, and transport configuration confirmed against NHVR requirements. Permit category identified before anything else moves forward.

02

Plan the route and secure permits

Routes surveyed for bridge clearances, road restrictions, and turning constraints. Permits submitted with verified data. No resubmissions from avoidable errors.

03

Coordinate escorts and travel windows

Pilot and escort requirements confirmed against state thresholds. Travel times checked for time-of-day and holiday restrictions.

04

Assign equipment and operators

Trailer configuration, restraint method, and operator matched to the load. Nothing substituted on the day.

05

Execute and confirm delivery

Load moves on the approved route within the approved window. Delivery confirmed on site. Job signed off complete.

FAQ

What most businesses ask before moving oversized freight with us

Do you handle the permits or do we need to arrange them?

We manage the full permit process. Load data is verified, applications are submitted with accurate dimensions and weights, and approvals are secured before the job is scheduled. You don't need to coordinate permits separately.

How long does the permit process typically take?

It varies depending on the load category, route complexity, and jurisdiction. We'll give you a realistic timeline upfront based on the specific job so you can plan around it. If approvals take longer than expected, you're informed early.

Do you arrange escort and pilot vehicles?

Yes. Escort and pilot requirements are confirmed against state thresholds and coordinated as part of the job. You don't need to source them independently.

What happens if travel restrictions affect our delivery window?

Time-of-day restrictions, holiday blackout periods, and special conditions are checked during planning. If a restriction impacts the scheduled window, we flag it early and adjust the plan before it becomes a last-minute problem.

Can you move freight to regional NSW project sites?

Yes. We regularly deliver to regional sites across NSW including wind farm, solar farm, construction, and infrastructure projects. Route surveys and site access planning are standard for every regional movement.

What trailer types do you have for OSOM work?

We operate drop decks, low loaders, and extendable trailers matched to the specific load. The trailer configuration is confirmed during planning and assigned to the job. No substitutions on the day.

What information do you need to quote an OSOM job accurately?

Load dimensions, weight, pickup and delivery locations, any known site access constraints, and the desired delivery window. The more accurate the detail upfront, the tighter the plan and the fewer variables in the quote.

Do you use subcontractors for oversized movements?

Our core OSOM work is handled by our own fleet with our own operators. That's how we maintain control over planning, equipment, and execution across every job.

What if the load details change after the permit has been submitted?

It depends on the change. Minor adjustments can sometimes be managed within the existing approval. If the change affects dimensions, weight, or route, the permit may need to be resubmitted. We'll advise you on the impact and timeline immediately so the project plan can adjust.
